Sunday Homework: The Neutrals Edit
Happy Sunday!
I’m finding myself increasingly drawn to more neutral interiors at the moment and have been hugely inspired by Athena Calderone’s use of natural materials and calm, elegant colour schemes.
Neutrals have never really gone out of fashion but recently, terms like ‘quiet luxury’, 'beige-core' and ‘vanilla girl interiors’ have been circulating, emphasising a more simple and timeless aesthetic and offering a calmer alternative to the maximalist and colourful approaches to design which we’ve seen in the last few years. Softer tones such as pale, muddy pinks, beiges, and earthy hues like warm browns and caramels create versatile backdrops for various design styles, from modern to traditional to eclectic.
